Section 01

Kitchen Recipes

The room where you prep food, and where chemical residue matters most.

Recipe 1

All-Purpose Kitchen Spray

Cleans: Countertops, stovetops, cabinet exteriors, tile backsplash

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 16 oz filtered water

Steps

  1. Add water to a 16 oz spray bottle first.
  2. Add 1 tsp concentrate.
  3. Cap and swirl gently — do not shake vigorously.
  4. Spray surface, let sit 30 seconds, wipe with a microfiber cloth.

Pro Tip

Swirl don't shake — excessive foam slows rinsing on smooth surfaces.

Safety Note

Safe for all food-contact surfaces. No rinse required at this dilution.

Recipe 2

Degreaser Boost

Cleans: Stove hoods, griddles, cast iron exteriors, heavy grease buildup

Ingredients

  • 3 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 8 oz warm water
  • 2 tbsp distilled white vinegar

Steps

  1. Mix concentrate and water in a spray bottle.
  2. Add white vinegar last.
  3. Spray directly onto greasy surface.
  4. Let dwell 2–3 minutes.
  5. Scrub with a stiff brush or non-scratch sponge.
  6. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Pro Tip

Warm the surface slightly first — warmth breaks grease bonds faster.

Safety Note

Do not use on natural stone (granite, marble) — vinegar can etch the surface over time.

Recipe 3

Produce Wash

Cleans: Fruits and vegetables — removes wax, pesticide residue, and handling contaminants

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 32 oz cold water

Steps

  1. Fill a large bowl with 32 oz cold water.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp concentrate and stir.
  3. Submerge produce for 60–90 seconds.
  4. Rinse thoroughly under cold running water.
  5. Dry and use.

Pro Tip

For berries and delicate produce, reduce to 1/4 tsp and shorten soak to 30 seconds.

Safety Note

Ecolosophy concentrate is plant-derived and food-safe at this dilution. Always rinse produce after washing.

Recipe 4

Refrigerator Deep Clean

Cleans: Fridge shelves, drawers, door seals, and interior walls

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 16 oz warm water

Steps

  1. Remove all food and removable shelves/drawers.
  2. Mix concentrate and warm water in a spray bottle.
  3. Spray all interior surfaces.
  4. Let sit 1 minute.
  5. Wipe with a damp microfiber cloth, working top to bottom.
  6. Rinse shelves in the sink before replacing.
  7. Leave door open 10 minutes to air dry before restocking.

Pro Tip

Clean door gaskets (rubber seals) with a cotton swab dipped in the solution — that's where mold hides.

Safety Note

No chemical residue at this dilution. Safe for all fridge surfaces including plastic, glass, and rubber seals.

Recipe 5

Microwave Cleaner (Steam Method)

Cleans: Microwave interior — baked-on food splatter, grease, and odors

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 16 oz water
  • 1 microwave-safe bowl

Steps

  1. Pour water into a microwave-safe bowl and add concentrate.
  2. Place the bowl in the microwave.
  3. Microwave on HIGH for 3–4 minutes until steam clouds the window.
  4. Leave the door closed for 2 more minutes — steam keeps working.
  5. Carefully remove the hot bowl.
  6. Wipe all interior surfaces with a cloth — everything lifts off easily.

Pro Tip

Don't skip the 2-minute rest. That's when steam penetrates dried-on food.

Safety Note

Bowl will be hot — use oven mitts. Verify bowl is microwave-safe before use.

Recipe 6

Cutting Board Sanitize

Cleans: Wood and plastic cutting boards — removes bacteria, odors, and staining

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 16 oz boiling water

Steps

  1. Mix concentrate into boiling water in a heat-safe container.
  2. Pour over cutting board surface slowly.
  3. Let sit 5 minutes.
  4. Scrub with a stiff brush.
  5. Rinse thoroughly under hot running water.
  6. Air dry standing upright — never lay flat, which promotes warping.

Pro Tip

For wood boards, follow with a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil after drying to prevent cracking.

Safety Note

Safe for both wood and plastic boards. For wood, do not soak — quick douse and scrub method only.

Section 02

Bathroom Recipes

The highest-germ room in your home — cleaned without fumes.

Recipe 7

Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Cleans: Toilet bowl interior — stains, mineral rings, bacteria

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 2 tbsp baking soda
  • 4 oz warm water

Steps

  1. Mix concentrate and water in a small cup.
  2. Pour baking soda directly into the toilet bowl.
  3. Pour the concentrate mixture over the baking soda — it will fizz.
  4. Let the fizzing reaction work for 10–15 minutes.
  5. Scrub with a toilet brush, paying attention to the waterline.
  6. Flush.

Pro Tip

For stubborn mineral rings, let the mixture sit for 30 minutes before scrubbing.

Safety Note

Never mix with bleach or ammonia-based cleaners. Use in a ventilated bathroom.

Recipe 8

Tile and Grout Spray

Cleans: Bathroom tile, grout lines, shower walls

Ingredients

  • 3 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 16 oz warm water

Steps

  1. Mix in a spray bottle.
  2. Spray directly onto tile and grout.
  3. Let dwell 5 minutes.
  4. Scrub grout lines with an old toothbrush.
  5. Rinse with warm water.

Pro Tip

For discolored grout, apply the spray, let sit overnight, then scrub in the morning.

Safety Note

Safe for ceramic, porcelain, and most glazed tiles. Test in a hidden area for unglazed stone.

Recipe 9

Mirror and Glass Cleaner

Cleans: Bathroom mirrors, glass shelves, chrome fixtures

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 16 oz distilled water

Steps

  1. Use distilled water — tap water minerals cause streaks.
  2. Mix in a spray bottle.
  3. Spray lightly onto mirror.
  4. Wipe in an S-pattern (top to bottom) with a lint-free microfiber cloth.
  5. Buff dry immediately — don't let it air dry.

Pro Tip

If you're getting streaks, use less concentrate — not more. A lighter touch = clearer glass.

Safety Note

Safe on all glass and mirror surfaces. Avoid spraying directly onto electronics.

Recipe 10

Shower Door Scum Remover

Cleans: Soap scum on glass shower doors and acrylic surrounds

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 8 oz warm water
  • 2 tbsp distilled white vinegar

Steps

  1. Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle.
  2. Spray generously onto shower door.
  3. Let dwell 5–10 minutes — do not rinse yet.
  4. Scrub with a non-scratch sponge in circular motions.
  5. Rinse with warm water.
  6. Squeegee dry.

Pro Tip

After cleaning, squeegee the door after every shower. 15 seconds of prevention beats 10 minutes of scrubbing.

Safety Note

Do not use on natural stone shower surrounds — the vinegar is acidic and can dull stone over time.

Recipe 11

Drain Freshener

Cleans: Drain odors, surface buildup at drain opening

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 32 oz boiling water

Steps

  1. Boil water.
  2. Add concentrate to the boiling water and stir.
  3. Slowly pour down the drain.
  4. Let sit 5 minutes.
  5. Follow with a cold-water flush.
  6. Repeat weekly as maintenance.

Pro Tip

Do this every Sunday night and you'll never have a smelly drain again.

Safety Note

Not a drain unclogger — for clearing blockages, use a drain snake first. This is a maintenance deodorizer only.

Section 03

Floor Recipes

Where your kids crawl, your pets sleep, and your feet go bare. Clean it right.

Recipe 12

Hardwood Floor Cleaner

Cleans: Finished hardwood floors — daily grime and footprints

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 32 oz warm water

Steps

  1. Mix in a bucket or spray mop reservoir.
  2. Damp mop — never wet mop hardwood.
  3. Wring your mop until almost dry before touching floors.
  4. Mop in the direction of the wood grain.
  5. No rinsing needed. Allow to air dry (should take under 2 minutes with a properly wrung mop).

Pro Tip

If floors feel sticky after mopping, you're using too much concentrate. Start with half the amount.

Safety Note

CRITICAL: Do not use on unsealed, unfinished, or waxed hardwood. Excess moisture warps wood — always use a nearly dry mop.

Recipe 13

Tile and Vinyl Floor Cleaner

Cleans: Ceramic tile, porcelain tile, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), linoleum

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 1 gallon warm water

Steps

  1. Fill a bucket with 1 gallon warm water.
  2. Add concentrate and stir.
  3. Mop in sections, rinsing mop frequently.
  4. For tile, pay attention to grout lines.
  5. Allow to air dry or buff dry with a clean cloth for faster results.

Pro Tip

Change your mop water halfway through a full room — dirty water just redistributes grime.

Safety Note

Safe for all sealed tile and vinyl. Avoid using on cork flooring, which is sensitive to moisture.

Recipe 14

Carpet Spot Cleaner

Cleans: Carpet stains — food, drinks, pet accidents, mud

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 8 oz cold water

Steps

  1. Blot (do NOT rub) the stain with a dry cloth first — remove as much as possible.
  2. Mix concentrate and cold water.
  3. Dab solution onto the stain with a clean cloth.
  4. Let sit 2–3 minutes.
  5. Blot from the outside of the stain inward — never rub, which spreads the stain.
  6. Repeat until stain lifts.
  7. Blot dry with a clean towel.
  8. Place a dry towel over the area and weigh it down for 15 minutes to absorb remaining moisture.

Pro Tip

Cold water always — hot water sets protein-based stains (blood, egg, dairy) permanently.

Safety Note

Test in an inconspicuous area first on delicate or dyed carpets. Not suitable for dry-clean-only rugs.

Section 04

Laundry Recipes

Stain removal, softening, deodorizing — without a cabinet full of products.

Recipe 15

Pre-Treat Spray for Stains

Cleans: Collar stains, food stains, grease on clothing before washing

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 8 oz warm water

Steps

  1. Mix in a small spray bottle.
  2. Spray directly onto the stain.
  3. Gently work into the fabric with your fingers or a soft brush.
  4. Let sit 10–15 minutes.
  5. Wash as normal.

Pro Tip

For collar grease (sebum stains), apply the undiluted concentrate directly and let sit for 30 minutes before washing.

Safety Note

Always check care labels. Not recommended for silk, wool, or delicate fabrics. Test on an inside seam first.

Recipe 16

Fabric Softener Alternative

Cleans: Removes soap residue, softens fabric naturally — no synthetic fragrance

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar

Steps

  1. Add 1/2 cup white vinegar to your washing machine's fabric softener dispenser.
  2. Wash as normal.
  3. No need to add anything to the rinse cycle — the dispenser times it automatically.

Pro Tip

The vinegar smell disappears completely in the dryer. Your clothes will not smell like vinegar.

Safety Note

Do not add vinegar directly to the drum with bleach — never mix the two. Use the dispenser only.

Recipe 17

Sports Gear Deodorizer

Cleans: Athletic wear, gym bags, cleats, sports pads — bacteria-driven odors

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 32 oz warm water

Steps

  1. Fill a sink or basin with warm water.
  2. Add concentrate and stir.
  3. Submerge athletic wear or pads.
  4. Soak for 30 minutes.
  5. Wring out and wash in the machine as normal.
  6. For hard gear (cleats, shin guards), spray the solution inside and let air dry.

Pro Tip

Air dry athletic wear whenever possible — the dryer's heat can break down moisture-wicking fabrics over time.

Safety Note

Check item care labels. Some high-tech athletic fabrics require cold water only.

Section 05

Pet-Safe Recipes

Pets lick floors. Pets lick their paws. Every cleaner you use is a cleaner they ingest.

Why this matters: Most conventional cleaners contain quaternary ammonium compounds (quats) and synthetic fragrances that are toxic to cats and dogs. Ecolosophy concentrate contains none of these. These recipes are safe once dry.

Recipe 18

Pet Bedding Freshener

Cleans: Pet beds, blankets, and soft surfaces between washes

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 16 oz water

Steps

  1. Mix in a spray bottle.
  2. Lightly mist pet bedding — do not saturate.
  3. Smooth out the bedding and allow to air dry completely before your pet uses it.
  4. For washing: add 1 tsp concentrate to the washing machine instead of regular detergent.

Pro Tip

Wash pet bedding weekly. No spray replaces an actual wash — this is a between-wash freshener only.

Safety Note

Allow bedding to dry completely before pet contact. Avoid spraying near your pet's face.

Recipe 19

Pet Accident Cleanup

Cleans: Urine, vomit, and fecal accidents on carpet, hardwood, and tile

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 16 oz cold water

Steps

  1. Remove solids with a paper towel or plastic bag immediately.
  2. Blot liquids with a dry cloth — do not rub.
  3. Mix concentrate and cold water.
  4. Apply liberally to the soiled area.
  5. Let sit 5 minutes.
  6. Blot clean from the outside in.
  7. For carpet, follow with cold water rinse and blot dry.

Pro Tip

Enzyme cleaners can complement this recipe for deep-set urine odors in carpet padding — they break down uric acid crystals that regular cleaners can't reach.

Safety Note

Safe for homes with pets and children. For hardwood, blot dry immediately to prevent moisture damage.

Recipe 20

Pet Toy Cleaner

Cleans: Rubber, plastic, and nylon pet toys — biofilm, bacteria, and saliva buildup

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ecolosophy concentrate
  • 32 oz warm water

Steps

  1. Mix in a basin or sink.
  2. Submerge hard toys for 10 minutes.
  3. Scrub with a soft brush.
  4. Rinse thoroughly under running water — rinse twice.
  5. Air dry completely before returning to your pet.
  6. For soft/plush toys, check the care label — many are machine washable with 1 tsp concentrate instead of detergent.

Pro Tip

Toss plastic and rubber toys in the dishwasher once a month (top rack, no heat dry) for a deep clean.

Safety Note

Rinse toys thoroughly — no soap residue should remain. Double-rinse always.
