Beyond Clean—Rethinking the Way We Protect Our Planet

WATCH THE ECOLOSOPHY DOCUMENTARY

We’re on a mission to change the way we clean—because hidden toxins are harming our homes, our health, and our planet.

The future of cleaning starts here.

Every Year, Nearly 3 Billion Pieces of Plastic Pollute Our Oceans—We’re Changing That.

Plastic pollution isn’t just about what we throw away—it’s about what we create. Right now, 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic are floating in our oceans, choking marine life and polluting ecosystems.

💡 Here’s the problem: Nearly 3 billion pieces of plastic end up in our oceans every single year. Most of it? Single-use plastic that was never meant to last—but will pollute our planet for centuries.

At Ecolosophy, we’re breaking the cycle. Our infinitely recyclable aluminum concentrate bottles eliminate the need for single-use plastic cleaning bottles altogether. And while some plastic components, like spray nozzles, are necessary, we ensure they’re durable, reusable, and designed to stay in use—not end up in landfills.

Every Ecolosophy bottle prevents at least 100 plastic bottles from ever being created. And depending on how you use it, that number could be even higher:
✨ 285 glass cleaner bottles saved
✨ 142 all-purpose spray bottles saved
✨ 71 powerful bathroom sprays saved
Less waste. Smarter design. A cleaner future—starting in your home.

33 Billion of Plastic Waste

A staggering amount of plastic is dumped into our oceans each year—choking marine life, polluting ecosystems, and lingering in our waters for up to 450 years.

90% Less Water, 100% More Impact

Traditional cleaners are 90% water, wasting resources and adding unnecessary bulk. By switching to concentrates, you cut water waste, reduce packaging, and lower carbon emissions—without sacrificing a deep clean.

42 pounds of CO₂ Savings per Ecolosophy Bottle

Each single-use plastic bottle generates approximately 0.15 pounds of CO₂ emissions. Since one Ecolosophy concentrate replaces up to 285 bottles, this means it prevents approximately up to 42.75 pounds of CO₂ emissions per bottle.

For over 25 years, I’ve worked in the chemical industry, developing products that millions of people use every day. But the more I understood the impact of these formulas, the more I saw the need for change. Traditional cleaning products weren’t just polluting our environment—they were filling our homes with invisible toxins, affecting the air we breathe and the water we drink.

I knew there had to be a better way. A way to clean that didn’t come at the cost of our health or the planet. That’s why I teamed up with Elizabeth, John, and Italo to create Ecolosophy—a brand built on sustainability, transparency, and science-backed formulas that work with nature, not against it.

But creating something truly different wasn’t easy. Finding natural, biodegradable ingredients that were as effective as traditional chemicals was one of the biggest challenges of my career. The cleaning industry had spent decades relying on cheap, synthetic chemicals, and breaking that cycle meant rethinking everything—sourcing plant-powered ingredients that were safe, sustainable, and still delivered powerful results. It took years of research, testing, and innovation to create a formula that met our standards.

Every bottle of Ecolosophy is a step toward a cleaner future. A future where powerful cleaning doesn’t mean polluting our oceans. Where safe ingredients aren’t just an option, but the standard. Because the choices we make today don’t just impact us—they shape the world we leave behind.

I used to believe that a clean home meant the scent of fresh pine or floral sprays in the air. But as a scientist and a mom, I’ve come to realize that many of those so-called “clean” scents come at a cost—one that affects our health more than we know.

Over time, I’ve grown increasingly concerned about the hidden dangers in everyday cleaning products. Many contain chemicals that don’t just sit on surfaces—they linger in the air, enter our lungs, and impact our well-being. Some release toxic compounds linked to asthma, allergies, and long-term respiratory issues, especially in children.

For me, this isn’t just a scientific concern—it’s deeply personal. Every family deserves a clean home without compromising their health. That’s why we created Ecolosophy—a solution backed by science but driven by something even greater: the need to protect our loved ones and our planet. Our formulas are proof that you don’t have to choose between safety and effectiveness. You can have both.

We believe clean should mean safe. It should mean fresh air, pure ingredients, and peace of mind. Because the products we trust to protect our homes should never put our health at risk.

I spent 31 years in the technology industry, including 25 at Apple, where I led Apple’s Education division in Latin America. I loved what I did, but life had other plans.

A few years ago, my health declined, so I decided to retire early. Around the same time, my wife developed a severe autoimmune disorder that left her in critical condition—intubated, on dialysis, and unable to walk. Desperate for answers, we discovered something shocking: the everyday products we trusted, including household cleaners, contained harmful chemicals that were contributing to our health issues.

Dr. Leon Mellman opened our eyes to the hidden toxins in our environment. What we thought was keeping our home clean was actually exposing us to potential harm. If this was happening to us, how many other families were unknowingly at risk?

I couldn’t ignore it. That’s why I joined Italo, Miguel, and Elizabeth to create Ecolosophy—not just a brand, but a mission. We’re committed to providing truly safe, effective cleaning solutions that protect both people and the planet. This isn’t just about products; it’s about empowering families to take control of their health.

My wife’s recovery is a constant reminder of why this matters. Every family deserves a home free from harmful chemicals. With every bottle of Ecolosophy, you’re not just cleaning—you’re protecting what matters most.

Some journeys aren’t chosen—sometimes, they just show up unexpectedly. Mine began in a hospital bed, battling Crohn’s disease, enduring hospitalizations so frequent they became my second home.

As a dad, you can imagine how hard it is to feel powerless—to have no control over the time you get to spend with the people who love and miss you. The thought of it alone broke my heart. I had to do something.

There were times when I felt completely defeated, unable to control what was happening inside my body. But the more I fought, the more I started asking why.

Why was my health deteriorating? Why were so many people around me—friends, family, loved ones—struggling with chronic illness, autoimmune diseases, and unexplained sensitivities?

The deeper I searched for answers, the clearer the picture became: the environment we live in plays a role in our well-being, and the very products we trust to keep our homes safe might be silently harming us.

I started looking at what was around me—the products sitting under my sink, the cleaners I used every day—and the reality hit me. They were filled with hidden toxins.

Toxins that could be worsening my condition. Toxins that were polluting the air my family breathed. Toxins that were adding to the burden my body was already carrying.

After 21 years with an autoimmune disorder, I've had enough. That realization changed everything.

I tried switching to “green” alternatives, hoping to find something I could trust. But time and time again, I found hidden chemicals, misleading labels, and a lack of true transparency. If I couldn’t find a genuinely safe solution for my own family, how many other people were unknowingly exposing themselves and their loved ones to the same risks?

That’s when I knew—we had to create something better.

Teaming up with John, Miguel, and Elizabeth - a mom scientist, we built Ecolosophy—a company founded not just on science, but on real-life experiences. We poured our personal battles, our frustrations, and our deepest hopes into developing a cleaning solution that is truly safe, truly effective, and truly transparent.

Every small quantity batch we make is carefully made in-house. No hidden toxins. No compromises. Just cleaning that people can trust—with their health and their homes.

For those who have spent years searching for answers, battling health conditions that make daily life harder than it should be—I see you. I’ve been where you are. And I want you to know, there is hope.

Change starts with the choices we make, the things we bring into our homes, the small shifts that add up to something greater.

This isn’t just about cleaning—it’s about protecting what matters most.

And together, we are creating a safer, healthier future—one bottle at a time.
